We love a new Nando’s launch, particularly when it sounds as delicious as the new Fresco Burger.
Described as “sunshine in a bite,” the new treat is the perfect burger for those wanting a PERi-PERi kick on a hot summer’s day.
Available in Nando’s restaurants from 5 June to 3 September, the Fresco burger (£7.95) is packed with healthy greens including pickled cucumber, peppery rocket and crushed avocado, as well as a standard PERi-PERi chicken fillet.
And it isn’t the only new menu addition that has been announced so far this year. Back in February two new veggie dishes popped up on the Nando’s menu.
Halloumi Sticks served with sticky, sweet chilli jam and the Veggie Cataplana, a chargrilled veg, chickpea and bean stew served on spicy rice.
We wonder if Prince William will give the new menu a try? The royal admitted recently to co-founder Robert Brozin that he is a fan of Nando’s after one of his personal protection offers introduced him to the high-street restaurant.
It hasn’t all been good news though. Nando’s has recently hit the headlines in conjunction with a new Health Select committee report about cracking down on childhood obesity. It was reported that new legislation could see the restaurant’s unlimited refillable drinks affected.
In the meantime, we’re setting a reminder to get ourselves down asap for the 5 June launch!
